Canada and Luxembourg have signed a the new bilateral Youth Mobility Arrangement on July 3rd 2019 with the aim of promoting further exchange between both countries. The agreement will allow youth aged 18 to 30 the possibility of working and traveling in either nation for up to 12 months, through the Working Holiday, International Co-op (Internship), and Young Professionals categories of the International Experience Canada (IEC) program. A maximum number of 100 participants from each country will be permitted under the deal.
The IEC program has been implemented to make it possible for young people to gain valuable international work experience and travel abroad. By adding Luxembourg, a number of 35 partner countries and territories are now available to young Canadians interested in an international experience.
